Freezing up with Adaptec Easy CD Creator

Question

When I try to change the theme or background on Jewel Case creator, my computer freezes and Ctl-Alt-Del won't fix it, I have to restart. Per Dell Tech Support, I uninstalled Internet GuardDog and unistalled and reinstalled Adaptec CD Creator. That didn't fix the problem. Tech Support suggested something called ZZTop but I don't know what that is. Any Suggetions?

Hi,You might try Adaptecand browse for patches or upgrades or even tech support. I would get them envolved before trying ZZtop. Hope this helps. Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm).

What kind of video card do you have? I've heard of this problem and it might just need some updated drivers.

Thanks for the help! My problem is solved. I just had to adjust the Graphics Hardware Acceleration to a lower setting when I use CD Creator.

Phil, try reducing video accelertation before starting easy CD creator & printing jewel case.
Start/Settings/ControlPanel/System/Performance/Graphics then reduce hardware acceleration to medium or none. This was from a Dell Tech and it worked for me. Good Luck

Reduced video acceleration to medium and it seems to have solved the problem. Will this impact other software or should I just change it when I want to change themes? Thanks.

Sorry Phil, I have no idea if it will affect anything. I reset to max so the kids can play rollercoaster tycoonn and reset to medium if I use CD Creator.
I really am clueless when it comes to computers!
