GX110 Upgrading BIOS Problem!!!
I want to upgrade my BIOS on a from a02-a05 and i get this message
CANNOT RUN UNDER PROTECTED ENVIROMENT
does this mean there is a password
by the way i have got a used GX110/Win ME OS
if there is a password i dont know it
how may i get rid of it if there is 1

You have to run the BIOS flash in a real-DOS environment. Which means you have to put the BIOS flash app in a Windows 98 bootdisk, boot from the floppy and manually running the flash program.

Now exactly how does this work does it have to be a Win 98 boot cause i tried putting it on a Win Me Boot
it said COMMAND COM is corrupted i'm not sure what to do! STEP BY STEP PLZ???

The easiest solution is to just download the BIOS upgrade version that creates it's own bootable floppy disk. What you do is download the file at the link I have provide below to your hard drive. Then run the file from Windows and it will prompted you into creating a bootable BIOS upgrade floppy disk so have a blank one available. After the floppy is created just leave the floppy in the floppy drive and reboot your system. The BIOS upgrade program will then run from the floppy and display it's progress on your screen. A BIOS upgrade generally takes less than a minute to do. One word of caution... don't interrupt a BIOS upgrade by turning the computer off or doing it when outside weather conditions may indicate a power outage. An interrupted BIOS flash can trash your motherboard.
