GeForce Experience doesn't run

I have a brand new Dell XPS 8900 which came with an Nvidia GTX-745. GeForce experience was already installed and has a shortcut on the desktop. I am getting a notice that updates are available. However, when I try to run GeForce Experience to install the update, the cursor just spins and it never launches. Eventually, it gives an error. I tried going to the Programs and Features Control Panel and uninstalling GeForce Experience 2.9.1.35, but nothing happens. What should I do?

I would uninstall it using a good tool like RevoUninstaller  the GeForce Experience is in my opinion a bad piece of bloatware.

I don't find any value using GeForce Experience. if the card is a Dell card, download drivers from Dell or visit nvidia.com and download the drivers from there.

Windows 10 breaks the experience by installing an UPDATE to 10.18.13.5850 or higher.

Download the WHQL version and do custom clean install that excludes the GeForce experience.

Version: 361.75  WHQL
Release Date: 2016.1.27
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
CUDA Toolkit:
Language: English (US)
File Size: 371.86 MB

I downloaded the latest WHQL version and started a custom, clean install that excluded the GeForce experience per instructions. The first thing it did was uninstall GeForce Experience. However, as soon as it completed that process, I got an error saying it couldn't continue and to restart and try again. I did that but while doing its initial check, it again said there was a problem and to restart and try again. It seems like it is looking for something that is no longer there.

When I go into the Programs and Features control panel, the only remaining Nvidia item is Nvidia PhysX System Software 9.15.0428.

What should I try next?

Run the express install including the GeForce experience.

Once it installs everything UNINSTALL the Geforce BAD experience.

Make sure to do CUSTOM and check the Clean install checkbox.

MUST BE RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

I can't get that far. I run the Setup file from the downloaded software and the first step is a System Check. That begins and runs for about 10 seconds. But It does not get past that step. It says "Nvidia Installer cannot continue. A system restart is required. Restart the system and try again." I have done both several times and keep gettng only that far. Should I try first removing the Nvidia PhysX System Software 9.15.0428 that I see in the Programs and Features control panel? As I mentioned before, that is the only Nvidia labeled file remaining there. I'm open to other suggestions.

OK, I seem to have accomplished the goal. I used Device Manager to do likely a more standard install of the video driver. Once that completed, I was able to follow the original instruction and do a Custom Clean install of the win10, 64 bit international version which I had downloaded previously and deselected GeForce Experience. So I guess I'm done. Any way to test that?

If the nagware GeForce bad experience isn't there I think you are done.  The issues come from windows update "fixing" the driver with an update which puts you in limbo where you cant uninstall it and you cant install it.  Ati has a gaming evolved app that is the same bad bloatware/adware/crash me to deathware.

Yep, GeForce Experience is gone and the other NVidia drivers are installed. Thanks for all the help.
