Dimension, 'music controlling' keyboard

 

PROBLEM = sound controls failed POSSIBLY since installing verification (genuine windows tool) listed above. Error code shown above also in subject header.

 

Does anyone else have the keyboard with the sound controls that will control both Windows Media player (yes I've tried upgrading to the latest Windows Media Player etc.!) and Creative Media Source player. 

 

Buttons STILL operate volume, play, stop etc., but WILL NOT OPEN mediasource 'panel' when pushing semi-circular shaped button above volume control.

 

Anyone had this problem.  Any offer of help gratefully accepted.

 

Running XP Pro, all drivers up to date, keyboard controls still operate volume on Mediasource player and Windows media player, as previously, but panel won't open.
