No you didn't get it on the right board. You should post this to the forum for your version of windows for assistance with this issue. What version of windows do you have installed on this system? Have you checked the system for VIRUSES? Have you checked it for spyware?
Highlander, dwwin.exe is part of Dr.Watson, Microsoft's error reporting tool. Try going into task manager to see what tasks are running before you shut down. Maybe shutting them down one at a time you'll be able to nail the problem application. Also check your event log, it also might help in determining the problem application.
