Gigabyte Motherboard?

Hello,

I would like to try building myself a computer using the Gigabyte Motherboard.  Motherboard going to be purchased below:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-128-220&depa=0§ion=2

It has on board Audio and LAN.  It is ATX form factor.  Will any case work that is a ATX case.  By looking at the online pictures @ newegg.com it appears to me that the integrated Audio & LAN won't fit into any ATX case by the look at the back of these cases (Pictures also available on newegg.com).  Am I missing something here?  Where do I start?  Any suggestions?  Will any ATX motherboard work with any ATX case.  Thanks for your help in advance.

No offence man, but this is a Dell hardware forum, and not a custom built PC forum. Check out some of the custom PC forums like the ones at HardOCP.com, Anandtech.com, Arstechnica.com and Tomshardware.com.

Linkz, no offense to you man, but so far all the posts I have seen by you have either been wrong/misleading information, or you are just not helpful at all.

INTERNET 2000 -

ATX is an industry standard. ANY ATX form factor motherboard, especially the one you have chosen, should fit into any standard ATX case. Was there a specific case you would like me to research for you? I live for this stuff.

Sorry folks, but I have to agree that this is a Dell support forum for dell computers and as the name of the forum indicates, for Dimension and their related products. If you want input you might have better succes at sites such as www.overclockers.com or www.dslreports.com where both have forums where people do ask these sorts of of questions and they do get answers.

thmn875,

I sent you a private message. No reason to be rude in public like you were.

thmn875, The motherboard will come with a new I/O shield for the back of the case so your motherboard will fit any ATX case. Gigabyte motherboards are good motherboards with a lot of features but don't overclock really well.

Since it's a public forum, opinions, for or against Dell, should be valued and open. He asked for help, I gave it to him. If anyone was rude, it was you in your reply post to INTERNET 2000. I saw your private message and replied.

Sorry for the post!

Perhaps I should have worded it a little better or asked to be communicated to by private message.  I'm new at this kind of stuff and I figure that if someone could give me a little boost and help or some links I would walk away with a smile on my face.  SINCE THIS BOARD IS A DELL BOARD LET ME RELATE THIS TO DELL SOMEHOW......Does not look like Dell builds PC's with Gigabyte motherboards to the best of my knowledge, so I would like to build my own with one.  I would like to build a pc with a gigabyte motherboad and don't plan on ever overclocking it.  Thanks for all those who helped me, I really appreciate your sharing of knowledge.  If you would like to say anymore (Tips or anything), let's please communicate by private message.
