Graphic Card for Dimension 8400 ? Help please

I have just purchased Dimension 8400 and I want to upgrade graphic card. I have two option:

Nvidia Quadro 500 or
Nvidia Quadro 540

But I do not know which card can be pluged in my computer system. Can anyone give me some advice?

Thanks

This is what I got from the Nvidia web site:

All NVIDIA Quadro FX solutions feature the industry's only true 128-bit floating point precision graphics pipeline.

Looks like you will have to get the Quadro 540 since you have a PCIE slot not a AGP.  Hope you realize these graphics cards are for use with CAD programs and not meant for games.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Thanks for reply

Yeah, I buy Quadro card for 3D program, not for game. I also thought I need to buy 540, PCI Express. But are you not sure, aren't you?

Can anyone confirm again before I purchase it?

Thanks

As far as I know the 8400 has a PCIExpress slot.  Don't know how much more sure I can be, unless I open up your system.

Cheers

The 8400 is PCI Express only.

So, Quadro FX 540 is for Dimension 8400.
