HDMI
Hi does anyone know on a xps 8500 i 5 series do i have to use both ports on hdmi one port is just cable hdmi to hdmi the second is hdmi to dvi adapters do i need to for my display or can i use just one port i have hdmi cable for my tv can i use it instead of THE ADAPTER slot please help im so confused. thanks

im still confused im talking of computer not tv i dont plan on hooking computer to my tv my new computer has the 2 ports one for hdmi cable and the other is for hdmi to dvi can i just use one for my monitor or do i need both ports

hdmi out to your tv should need only 1 cable for EVERYTHING including Audio.
Gotta love how HDMI is all cables in one.:emotion-4:

You only need one. If your monitor has built-in speakers, HDMI is a better choice, as it can carry audio.
