Hard drive for XPS 7100

I was searching for replacement parts for my XPS 7100 and the only hard drives listed were 250gb and 500gb.  I ordered and received the 500gb, but it appears that the original was a 1tb.  Do they make a 1tb replacement or will I have any issues with only a 500gb?

You can install any brand of internal, SATA, 3.5", 7200rpm hard drives in the XPS 7100, up to 2tb in size.

Compatible hard drives can be purchased from most local, or on-line computer stores.
