Help upgrading the cpu in a Inspiron 530s
I want to upgrade the cpu in my Inspiron 530s to something a little faster and needed to know if this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116347 is compatible with my motherboard?
Current specs:
Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit, Core 2 Duo cpu E7200 @ 2.53 ghz, 4 gb ram, 400 psu (recently upgraded) and Radeon HD6570 graphics card (recently upgraded).
If anyone can provide me with any info as whether or this cpu will work with my system I would greatly appreciate it!

Yes, the Intel Pentium E6600 Wolfdale 3.06GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core processor should work in the Inspiron 530s.
Prior to installing the processor you need to check that you have BIOS Version 1.0.15, or higher, when support for new Intel CPU's was added.
But you may not see any improved performance using the e6600 from the default e7200 Core 2 Duo and may not be worth the cost of the upgrade.
Check out either, the Wolfdale Core 2 Duo E8500 [3.16 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB], or the Wolfdale Dual Core Kit, E8600, [3.33GHz, 6MB, 1333FSB, 65W] processors.
