If you are not going to use a RAID configuration, go to the BIOS and under SATA Operation, change it to AUTO Detect
and if you are using 4 GB or more than of RAM try using only 2, when it finish add the other two

Totally correct. More than likely the stop error was due to the Raid Config not being recognized, but the Memory can also be a concern.
 
Do these 2 steps and you should be golden!
