How can I change default desktop email?
Hello! When I click to send an email from within Windows, it defaults to an old email address. How do I change to a new one? Thank you.

I use Windows Live Mail. The problem seems to be the default mail tile in Windows 8 shows the old email address.

This is a Microsoft Windows Live Mail support question Not a Dell Support Issue.

Unfortunately since it is happening on my Dell computer, to me it is a Dell issue. Sorry for asking for help. With computers segmented with so many bits and pieces it is hard to get any decent help with a problem.

With Live Mail open, can you select Tools>Accounts from the menu bar?
If you can, go to the Mail tab and select the address you want to use and click Set as Default. You may also find a button on that screen to delete the old account you don't want to use.
EDIT: If the new address isn't listed, you may also find an Add option on that screen. :emotion-5:
