I am sorry, I meant to say what is the cpu processor I need to buy to replace the Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2:00 ghz, Bios Version A06------------installed in my Dell Optiplex GX 260.

You can use any type of P4 processor that fits your socket type. Most tower 260's are LGA 775

All my 260 and even 270 towers are socket 478 !!

The Towers have a Clip On Riser to add 2 more slots. Seems that they were used on GX150,240,260.
