Find Onborad Audio in the BIOS and siable it.  Impossible togive you EXACT details since you gave no model number.

The unit is a Dimension 3000.

Keith, go into your BIOS Setup at boot up by pressing the F2 key.  In the Onboard Devices sub-menu there will be an option for the Audio Controller.  Just disable or turn off this option to disable the integrated audio.
