How do I remove the outer casing on the tower?

Can someone tell me how to remove the outer shell case? I've looked for release buttons, etc. I just thought I'd dust it for maintenance reasons.

Which machine? On the GX range, press the button at the bottom left hand corner of the front panel to release the left hand side panel (looking from the front); then pivot the left hand case side off from the top fixings. On replacing the side panel, make sure the top fitting engage properly, and press firmly on the lower edge of the side panel to re-engage the front panel button latch properly.

i have a dell 2350 series,  the outer case and back gets really dusty and dirty,  so I know the inside of the tower is just as dirty. it appears to be sealed with rivets or something. Is there a way to open it up, my warrenty is over with anyway, but id really like to be able to clean the inside if at all possibe, dont want my hard drive to burn up because of dirt and cat hair!  If its on the outside its in the inside.anybody?

The release buttons are on the top and bottom at the rear.  It opens like  a clam shell.

Hmm

I went rummaging around the office and eventually found one.

It would appear that you need to remove screws and then slide off a panel that has a grip in the side backwards.

Never saw a dell with this design before but Hey you learn something new every day.

See the indentation behind the dell where you pull back the slide side panel?

There is a thumbscrew and a latch.

Documentation is there if you arent too lazy to look for it.

:p
