How do i find my video card?

just installed new hard drive and tryin to get all my drivers. I have a dimension 4700. i have checked device list and it says unknow.....
 
how do i find out wat video card i have?

the drivers should be on your dell resource cd and the one for your computer should have a check next to it

Right Click My Computer
Click Properties
Click Hardware
Click Device Manager
Click Display Adapter
 
The video card type "should" be in there if you are running XP2 and the card has been out long enough for Windows to know about ts existance.

You can also go to www.guru3d.com and download SiSoft Sandra 2005. This is a free program and it will tell you more about your system and its componenets then you can ever find anywhere else.

ok i download that sis thing and i still cant tell. and in the device manager it just calls it video controller, and another called video controller(vga compatable)...... please help me find my video card

Well what system do you have?  Open up your case and see if you have a sound card attached to a PCI slot.  If not then its probably integrated audio.

You probably have the integrated graphics if there is no physical cards in your PCIE slot (the top slot with a clip).

* Go here:
http://www.dell.com/
* Click Home & Home Office
* Near the top, under Service & Support, click Downloads
* Right of "Product Model:"
- down arrow to your system type (Dimension)
- down arrow to your specific model (4700)
* Click the blue/white arrow
* Select All, your operating system, and English
* Click Submit

* Download and install the drivers in this order:
Chipset - Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility
Network Drivers - Intel (R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection
Video Drivers - Intel 915G Graphics Controller
Audio Drivers - Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio
