No way that I know of other than upgrading to XP. The 640K limitation is put on by the DOS underpinnings of the Win9x and WimME operating systems. She can increase what's available though by making sure she doesn't have anything she doesn't need running at startup.

Sounds like this may be a DOS app, or a program that makes DOS-like calls for resources.
