How to add an internal 1TB hard drive to my system with Raid 0 existing drives?

My System:

XPS/Dimension XPS Gen 4

Ship Date: 1/18/2005

1 4C132 Hard Drive, 74GB, 8MEGB, 10K Serial ATA, WD-EXPN
1 4C132 Hard Drive, 74GB, 8MEGB, 10K Serial ATA, WD-EXPN

I would like to add an internal 1TB WD Black Hard drive as a system backup and since my main hard drives are a RAID 0 Configuration I am concerned about causing problems with this installation.

My questions are:

1.  Is it possible to add an additional SATA Hard Drive to my computer by just installing in the open HD Bay and plugging in the power cable and connecting to an open SATA Plug on the MB.

2.  Will it automatically be recognized?

3.  Is there any know conflict with the controller chip on the MB with this WD HD?

4.  Are there any other problems with this installation?

Thanks in advance for your help

Robert

The only thing you will need to do is to go into the bios and enable the sata port that you want to plug in the additional drive. It should have zero impact on the raid array.

Thanks for your help - I would not have known to go into the bios if you had not directed me there.  It was a piece of cake.
