How to configure mouse side buttons
Hi, I recently brought a Dell Studio XPS 8100, with Keyboard and
a 6-Buttons laser mouse (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/i_o_devices/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=330-2451) ,
Is there a way to configure side buttons? I tried with Windows 7 control panel but I didn't find any options to configure this mouse
thanks.

I can't find any drivers for this unit. The reviews don't mention anything about needing drivers and one reviewer commented about liking the extra button features. Do the buttons work and you just want to change their functions or is it they do not work at all?
Have you talked to Dell Tech Support about it?

That is a problem since there are no separate or specific drivers for the mouse. You could try the Logitech Mouse drivers and see if that works. The mouse is probably just a 'rebadged' model from some other vendor. Logitech, Microsoft and iHome are three that come to mind.
Or, just chalk it up to a "bad buy" and buy a Logitech or whatever model that does have customizable buttons.
