How to increase screen resolution to 1920x1080
I have a new ViewSonic VA2703 monitor and installed its driver. It recommended 1920x1080 but my computer only has 1280x1024.
My desktop computer is Dimension 1100/B110 with Win XP.
How can I increase my screen resolution to 1920x1080 please? Below are my original configurations. Please let me know what info you need then I'll post it.

Hi Andy69,
Since the specs make no mention of a discrete graphics adapter, I'm going to assume you have integrated graphics. It's likely that if you see no resolution higher than 1280x1024, your system does not support 1920x1080.
Keep in mind you have a fairly old, budget desktop running an operating system that is no longer supported by Microsoft. You could probably buy a used desktop with significantly more capability for less than that new monitor cost.

My graphics controller is Intel 82865G. It looks like I need a new graphic card in order to support 1920x1080. Unfortunately my computer only has PCI slot.
Do you know what graphic card I should buy? I'm looking at Amazon but I don't know which card will fit my desktop. I have a Dell Dimension B110.
Thanks

Any PCI card, not PCI Express, should work.

I searched Dell website and this is the one that is compatible with my desktop
The Radeon X1300 256 MB GDDR2 DMS59 PCI Graphics Card from VisionTek
<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>
It's $100 from Amazon. Do you know of one that is similar to the above but cheaper and can fit in my Dell Dimension B110 PCI slot?
Thanks

The Geforce 6200 is still around and I think would support the resolution. It's been popular for older systems. HERE is the card. You have to make sure you disable your onboard video first in Device Manager to get these cards to work.
