How to install R41703 driver?
I have a Dell OptiPlex with a 3C920 network card and Win 98 SE. I have recently re-installed Windows. I have installed the sound and video drivers, but does not know how to install the network card driver. If I click on the R41703.exe file on C:\dell, I see a welcome screen and then a screen that asks me what folder I want to unzip the files to. I choose C:\dell\drivers\R41703, and there are many files in the folder. If I click on the "Install" file, I see a DOS-like screen with many options and help files, but then what? I don´t know how to successfully install the driver for 3Com 3C920 network card.
I need some help.
I need some help.

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Here are the instructions to install the Nic driver.
To reinstall the NIC driver for Windows 98 and Windows Me, perform the following steps:
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel. Then double-click the System icon.
2. In the System Properties window, click the Device Manager tab.
3. Click Network Adapters, and then click appropriate network adapter.
4. Click Properties.
5. Click the Driver tab.
6. Click the Update Driver button.
The Update Device Driver Wizard window appears.
7. Click Next.
8. Select Display a list of drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want, and click Next.
9. Click the Have Disk button.
10. Click Browse and locate the directory where the drivers were extracted, then click OK.
11. Verify the appropriate device is selected, and then click OK.
12. When the Update Device Driver Wizard states the location of the driver, click Next.
13. Click Finish.
14. When prompted to restart your system, click Yes.
