How to use PC Recovery on Optiplex? [GX620]

Hi, first of all i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask or this is a dumb question. I apologize for that.

Anyway, I've been trying to use the PC recovery tool on my GX620 but i have no idea how. I tried searching on some sites and they all came up with the CTRL+F11 thing on the DELL splash screen. But it didnt work for me, help please?

You need to buy Dimension models If you want Recovery.
This is not offered on Optiplex series That I know of.

Most people who buy Optiplexes have their own images anyway.

As mentioned above, this "reset to factory image" option is only available on the Consumer line of products (Dimension, Inspiron, etc).

Have you tried Windows System Restore to restore your system to a previous date ?

Hi, thanks for all your replies.

Anyway, I've tried using windows' pc restore, but that didn't work. After rebooting same problem happened and the message says "System restore failed". But anyways I've reformatted my whole entire C drive not long ago, so i'm starting from scratch. Everything seems okay after that but now i'm afraid of having virus attacks again. Constantly, norton antivirus keeps popping up and lots of times discovered virus. I'm a bit uncomfortable now so im scanning the PC now.

By the way i checked windows task manager and my CPU usage is about 50% everytime and when i do an antivirus system scan it goes to 100% is that normal?

thx and regs,
ian

My best advice is turn on the XP SP2 firewall feature and block everything strange that pops up.

See if you company has a corporate version of antivirus and install that one on your PC, the home versions are so bad and tricky.
