Howw Do I Add UEFI Boot Option

I have another thread in this forum regarding getting a new T5610 to boot in Legacy with my old hard drive in Win 7 Pro.

Doing research, I took a working Optiplex 990, with a booting hard drive.  I converted the hard drive to GPT non-destructively.  Computer Manager sees it as GPT.

I adjust BIOS to boot UEFI.  But when I try to boot off this hard drive that booted via legacy, it does not boot.  It asks for Add boot option, I get a blank line for Boot Option name, a filled line for file system list, a blank line for File name.

Mouse also gets flaky in this screen.  How do I fill out these blank lines?

BIOS does not "convert" or change MBR partitions to GPT nor does it write to the disk.  If you change from Legacy to secure boot you have to reinstall from scratch.

I did not convert drive with BIOS, I converted it using a software proigram, AOEMI Partition Assistant.

Looking in AOEMI help:

"we suggest that you make sure whether your motherboard supports EFI/UEFI boot or
not".

Question is, can a BIOS support UEFI to see drives over 2TB and not support EFI/UEFI boot?
