Inspiron 530 ethernet controller

Hi dell community,

I recently reinstalled windows vista and trying to get internet connection. I believe I need to install the Ethernet controller driver but when I try to download the driver under windows vista 32 bit > network > Realtek RTL81XX PCI-E Network Connection for 530abcd/530sabcd, v.6.2082.0907.2008, A02, it doesn't work.

Which is the correct driver I need to install?

Thanks for help

After installing the chipset driver, have you tried using the Intel 825xx 10/100 Platform LAN Connect Device, v.9.8.20.0, A00, Intel 82562V 10/100 Network Connection Driver For Vista.

Hi Avaiae,

Did you install the chipset driver? That's the first driver that should be loaded after Vista and critical updates.

I just tried installing the chipset driver but running the network driver again, I still get an error " no network interface exists in the machine. Please plug the adapter to the extension slot or connect a cable to ethernet network device if this computer enable deep slumber mode".
