In this case, I would suggest you to check each memory modules in each slot and try to boot the computer. Example: Take one memory stick, insert it into the first slot, and check if the computer boots to windows. Then try the same memory stick in second slot and follow the same pattern until you test all the memory in all slots. This would prove the functionality of the memory modules.
Try just the new modules in slots 1 and 2. When you post back, please tell me the exact memory you bought. Your system requires DDR2 PC2-6400 (non-ECC).
The memory I am trying to install is PNY part no. MD2048SD2-800. It is 2 GB PC2-6400 800 MHz DDR2 DIMM. I installed the 2 sticks in slots 1 and 2 and after pushing the power button, it did not initialize and the power button was flashing yellow. I re-installed the original memory and everything is working normal.
I performed the procedure as suggested and the first module proved to be bad. I installed the second and it is working normally. Thank you for your assistance.
