You might want to try pasting the exact error message you're receiving into the Knowledge Base search tool at the link below, and see what turns up. I didn't get any hits on several variations of what you posted here, but there are variables you can select with the Search tool, depending on the product(s) you're working with.
Thank you for your help. It started me in direction the right - I think.
I am fairly sure that I have an unknown file missing or corrupted in my system which is stoping msi windows install files from running - I believe stub321i.exe is the file type causing me trouble. I have NO IDEA how to track down the missing file. I am going to continue to try for while longer.
