Keyboard failure after F2 and F12 during boot
I am attempting to run a routine diagnostics of my hardware (Dell XPS 9100 running 64 bit Windows 7 Professional). The system responds to the keyboard F12 command (as well as the F2 command) during a cold boot but once the option screen appears the system no longer responds to keyboard commands (up/down arrows, enter, esc, etal). Any suggestions as to how to procede would be appreciated.

Tried a different rear USB port?
Tried a different keyboard or tested this one on a different PC?
When was last time you replaced motherboard battery?
