This solved my problem somehow. At least, now I know I have to contact DELL, 'cause the problem could be anything :-(

When you reboot and see the Dell logo, hit ctrl+alt+D at the same time to run the hard drive diags. If your hard drive passes, you most likely have an OS issue. You can get to a DOS prompt via the resource CD and run chkdsk /r and see if that will repair your OS or a clean reinstall will do the trick ;)

Fabiman,

The GGGY error code indicates that the system has completed post and passed control to the Operating System (usually Windows on the hdd), but the OS did not take over.  Basically, GGGY means that Windows did not start to load.  You can try booting to something besides the hard drive to verify that your system can startup.  Use a DOS disk or boot to your Windows CD.  If the system boots to a DOS disk or to a Windows CD, the problem is with Windows or your hard drive.
