It should work just fine. All of the DDR3 -1600 memory that I've worked with that downclocks nicely to 1333Mhz. I have a couple of systems that have gotten hand-me-down upgrades and the memory was DDR3-1600 and it runs perfectly fine at 1333.
Hello! Below is what you need: In terms of UDIMM and whatnot, I don't think it matters as the U stands for Unregistered where an R would be registered and more for servers. I know the L stands for Low Voltage and may not be supported by your motherboard. Try to look for standard 1333Mhz RAM. You can use Crucial's website and they will actually scan your system and give you a 100 percent compatibility guarantee.
These will absolutely run at 1333 Mhz as it is listed as the SPD speed, or the speed that the BIOS and memory agree is the initial supported speed unless they can negotiate a faster speed.
The speed shows 1600mhz and the xps 8300 has 1333mhz. is it better to get a higher speed or the same speed. I got some points i can use to lower the cost. i have $20 gift card from points earned so the amount would be around $50+ and free shipping too. Plus they ship to Hawaii or i could pick it up in their store. not like the new egg that will cost me around $90+ almost $100. Please let me know so that i could get one pack for now and get another later on when i have more cash available. i don't want to use my credit card. thanks in advance.

The memory you listed should work just fine.
You can also buy a set of four matched sticks like this:
www.amazon.com/.../
or this.
www.newegg.com/.../Product.aspx
I think I'd buy the set in the second link from newegg for less money and free shipping.
I like G.Skill memory, and even though the speed is listed as 1600, it also supports 1333 Mhz fully.

Wow, I guess a link to new egg and a link to amazon gets a post moderated...
I think I would buy these. Less money, a matched set of four and 1600 Mhz support.
