Macromedia Flash Player 7 ??

Lately just about every web page I go to I get a grey download box with "Macromedia flash player 7" wanting me to download it...sometimes it will continue for 6 to 7 times in a row..any ideas why this is happening and how to get rid of it? thank you

pat333,
Your question begs the obvious response question. Have you tried installing Macromedia Flash Player 7? My main workstation at the office was doing the same thing on various sites until I actually went to macromedia.com and updated the player to version 7. Not a single Macromedia nag message since.

It's software that can make web pages more complex or interactive. It's used by a huge percentage of web sites, and is practically a requirement at this point.  it can be a security risk to run an old version. Just update it.
