Macrovision???

A bit off topic...

Yesterday, I uninstalled Trend Micro from my 720 (because of several annoyances with the stripped down version) and reverted to Kaspersky 2009 which I was running before.

After installation, Kaspersky notified me at boot time that Macrovision was loading at boot and it was defined at "high risk".  I see several entries in msconfig for Macrovision and I understand that it is some function of installshield.

I don't see a means to uninstall this, but does someone know its function and whether or not I should disable it from auto starting at boot time?
