Memory write/read failure

Question

I'm getting the following error on startup:

Memory write/read failure at 075C0664, read XXXXXX expecting XXXXXXX

Decreasing available memory

Memory address line failure

Decreasing available memory

The amount of system memory has changed

Strike F1 to continue, F2 to run setup.

Nothing is changed to config. This error occurs each time I start the computer.

Any help would be great.

Getting the following errors at the diagnostic run :

Error Code 0700:031C

Msg: Level 2 cache failure. Cache offset 0004h miscompared patterns C5C55C5Ch and 5C5CC5C5h during first pass

Error Code 2F00:0B1C

Msg: Memory data data bus stress failure

Error code 2F2F:0719

Msg system memory failure . Suspected memory component located on system board at label CHANNEL A DIMM 0

Have you checked the diagnostic lights on the system to see if they are indicating a memory problem when you receive this error message?  Try running the Dell Diagnostic program on your memory modules.

If you have more than one memory module installed then try removing the module in the first slot and replace it with the other module.  If the system boots up without error then consider the 'removed' module as being faulty.
