Missing Software.ect

hi,

I reinstalled my os the other day due to a boot problem, and was sad to find that when i installed windows (supplied by dell) that there was none of the software, wallpapers, ect. that came with the computer when purchased.

I was wondering that there was anyway to get those things back?

thanks in advandce!

On my XPS Gen2 I got all the software that was orginally installed.   On my XPS 410 some of the Softward disc were included others not.    I asked for the Roxio install disk and another several times and they sent disc but wrong ones.   They really should furnish all the software on Disc that they installed.   Anyway I finally gave up on getting the Roxio disc after 3 times and not getting what was orginally installed.   Some of the never systems have a image of the OS on the hard disk so you can restore the orginal image.   On XP Systems you press CTL 11 on power up, on Vista its F8.

The restore for Vista worked like a charm.
