Hi bern12345,

It might be an issue with the Monitor or the system. If possible connect the monitor to a different system and isolate the issue.

Also, let us know the model number for the system as your video card driver needs to be updated on the system.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Sandeep

Thanks for the prompt response - what do you mean by model of the system?  I am on windows 7 if that's what you mean and I have a Vostro 430.

Thanks

Hi bern12345,

Thanks for providing us this information.  We were looking for model number which is Vostro 430 as you suggested.

Please check a different monitor and let us know the results of the same. Also, let us know the video card that you have installed on system so we can provide you with the relevant drivers.

You can also download video drivers for your system from the below link:

Hi Sandeep

I turned off the sleep mode within the settings and then tested a download again - it didn't turn itself off this time, so that may have worked - not sure why it works though.

With regards to the drivers and video card - do I still need to do this?

Where would I find out the details of my video card?

Thanks

Hi bern12345,

We truly regret the inconvenience that has been caused to you.

Its great to hear that the system is working fine now. If the system is working fine now then you would not require to update the video drivers on the system.

And, to know about the components of the system you can always refer to the link below and find out the configuration of the system:
