I have a Dell XPS 8900. Lately Sometimes when I right click on a file to copy or cut, The screen blinks and it goes to the desktop. The next time it's OK. Any thoughts?
It has just started in the last week or so. I have had the same video driver since last December an no trouble then. The only thing that I can think of lately is that I installed Chrome and a Windows 10 cumulative update. I am not in Chrome when this happens.
Right Click invokes shell context script. You are infected with malware.
Right click context menu malware is common. This is not a Dell issue.
Malwarebytes has right click file scan but this is not something that should be run by someone with no experience. Its like tossing a child a loaded gun and saying don't hurt yourself.

Hi,
Good day. Thanks for writing to us.
When did the issue start ?
Please try the same in safemode as well and let us know how it goes.
Update the video drivers as well.
Awaiting your response.

It seems to be a Windows configuration issue, not an issue related to Dell hardware.
