If your mouse was made by Logitech for Dell, you may want to try Logitech's free Setpoint software, but it may not allow you to set the option you want.
In that case UberOptions for Setpoint will set things Logitiech software alone doesn't do.
I've been using UberOptions for years and it amazes me that -after all these years- somebody else can make my Logitech mouse do exactly what I want, but Logitech can't/won't.
uberOptions works with SetPoint 4.80 currently. You can get it from the FTP link: [ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/mouse/setpoint480.exe] (32-bit) [ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/mouse/setpoint480_x64.exe] (64-bit)
The current uberOptions does work with SetPoint 6.00+ mostly, you just have to specify the new locations of the files uberOptions needs to install. On 32-bit XP, to install uberOptions 4.80.5 on SetPoint 6.00, the folders for the installer were: C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointP C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LogiShrd\SetPointP\Devices
On 64-bit Windows 7, the folders are: C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointP C:\ProgramData\LogiShrd\SetPointP\Devices
The locations may be different in Vista/Windows 7 32-bit. I don't have an ETA for when uberOptions will directly support SetPoint 6.00; I recommend sticking with SetPoint 4.80 for now.

The Intelli mouse software works with Microsoft Branded Mice.
The Logitech Software works with lots of others. Microsoft Does not allow download of the Software.
Logitech does.
The M/N: M-SBF90, M-SBF83 is typical of a Dell Rebranded mouse.

I'm still using Setpoint 2.40 and UberOptions with XP, and it works fine so I never bothered to update to Setpoint 4.80, if that's of any help.
