Please consider what information may be needed to solve this.

Computer model:
Operating system and service pack:
64 bit or 32 bit:
How much ram memory is installed?
When you boot up the computer during the very first screens, what is the bios version listed?
Consider updating the bios to the latest version.
During the early boot process hit the F12 key and select Run Diagnostics. Run the extended test. This will take a while.

If you are running windows, do the following:
If you can get to windows, update your antivirus and run a deep scan.
Go to MY COMPUTER, right click on the C: drive, Properties, Disk Cleanup. This is usually very quick.
Next choose tools tab,  Error Checking, Check now, select both options. You will get a schedule message for next boot. Yes.
When you restart the PC, a blue screen with start. The check may run several hours as it will test the hard drive and make corrections.
Next click on Defragment now. This will run for an hour or less.

Run windows update untill no newer updates are available.
Start, Run, MRT.exe, Go, choose the deep scan, not the quick. This will run in the background while you do other things.
