Need Help Getting Video Card Out of a XPS 435T

I'm trying to replace my video card in my XPS 435T but for the life of me can't figure out how to get it out of my case.

There's a big plastic black piece on top of the video card connected to a black plastic type bracket in the front of the case and I can't figure out how to unlatch it.

here's a pic...

Any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated!

Hi ejas,

Please refer the below images to remove the Graphics card:

1. Locate the large video card.

2. Flip up the expansion card retainer.

3. Press the tabs of the PCI support bracket and push the bracket to the back of the computer until it clicks into the slots on the back of the computer.

4. Locate the screw securing the video card.

5. Remove the screw securing the video card.

6.

Disconnect the power cable from the video card.

7.

Press the release lever while lifting the release free of the connector.

8.

Pull upward on the end of the video card resting on the fan to free it.

9. Remove the video card from the chassis.

Please check and reply if this helps.

Actually those pictures and instructions don't address my issue, like I said there's a black piece of plastic on top the graphics card that extends beyond it and locks into another piece of black plastic near the front of the case.

Those pictures don't have it on that card and it's not addressed in the manual either. That's what I was trying to show in my pic. I'll try to take another one in the morning when I have more light.

I opened the case from the removable side that's how I took the pictures :)

I followed the steps in the manual but the card doesn't budge.

Like I said the pictures posted by the mod previously don't have the part that's on my video card.

That looks like the back or front of the computer. Access the cards from removable side. You should see exactly what is shown in the moderator's photos. You might need to go over your manual to determine how to open the case. Here's the manual ftp.dell.com/.../studio-xps-9000_service%20manual_en-us.pdf
