Need help finding right audio drivers

Hi, I recently reformatted my hardrive and now I need to find the correct audio drivers for the on-board audio device on my motherboard.

The motherboard is a Foxconn LS-36 but I can't seem to locate any on-board audio drivers for it on dell tech support.  It's probably there and I'm looking in the wrong place, or there's some universal downlaod that effects several foxconn motherboard models and I overlooked it because I didn't see LS-36.  Whatever the case may be, I'd appreciate some help in finding the right driver.

Operating system is Windows XP professional

Look for the drivers via your service tag number or by the model number, not the motherboard.

If you would have provided the PC Model Number, someone may have been able to give you specific assistance.  The PC Model Number and Operating System should be on any initial problem post - too many different Dell models.

Well that's one of the reasons I couldn't find what I was looking for.  I'm not sure what the service number is.  I know it's an alpha numeric 5-7 characters long and I've entered every possible candidate (and yes I opened my pc and checked all the numbers inside too).  I get "service tag not recognized" and when I try to use the "find my service tag" feature, all I get is "."

Is there a way I could find out the model number?

If it's a full Dell PC, the model number is on the front of the PC.  Sounds like you have a non-Dell PC with a dell motherboard.  Who knows what sound is on it.

Well the case has DELL stamped in giant letters on the side.

It should have the model number on the front, somewhere.  Just the M/B won't really help.

Another thought, you can try some of the different drivers and see if any work.  Dell has used foxcon M/B's on many models.

Also, you need to first install the chipset drivers as they define what is on the motherboard.  That also complicates trying to find the correct drivers without knowing the model number.
