Can anyone assist..?

I have recently lost my internet connection on my PC - Dimension C521. The connection is fine to the router/modem as I am still getting a wi-fi connection. I have checked the cables from the modem/router and that has not changed it...

I have looked at the network connections through the control panel and I have no LAN showing - is this correct or has my LAN conection disappeared...? How can I get my connection back..?

If anyone out there can offer any assistance it would be greatly appreciated..
