No Internet after reinstalling Windows XP on Dell Dimension 9150
After reformatting hard drive and reinstalling Windows XP Home edition from XP recovery CD I cannot connect to the Internet via my wired Netgear AP/Router.Other wireless devices connected to Router include Laptop and two iPads and these are all working in that on tenses I can connect to internet
Device manager shows the following with error,
Ethernet controller
PCI device
PCI
Modem
Sm bus controller
Usb device
Video controller
Video controller(via compatibles)
All show device driver unknown!
Which of these do I need a driver to allow to get the connection to router and hence Internet.I could download the driver(s) to my laptop if someone could tell me which I need and from where?
My PC is a Dell Dimension 9150(dated 2005) and the motherboard is Dell Inc. 0YC523 and I am running Windows XP Home edition.

You need to install the drivers (starting with the chipset drivers), which can be downloaded from the Dell site.

This is not the psychic friends network. We cannot determine which modem or video card etc without basic hardware ID numbers or part numbers from the cards.
