Norton Anitvirus LiveUpdate error code 6002

R-E-A-L-L-Y need help here. This is my first post ever to this board. I have had my Dell 8200 since December 2001. No a problem of any kind until this month. Problem: When attempting to download the LiveUpdate from Norton the error code 6002 appears. This error message says "Live Update could not process the update. LiveUpdate was not able to extract the update files. Make sure your disk is not full and run live update again".

I have been thru the Norton site. I have found the 6002 faq page and done everything it has suggested. I have emailed Norton (4 days ago) and recieved nothing from them. Can't find a phone number for them. This morning they tell me there are new virus definitions I need to update but of course, I can't due to error number 6002. I am hoping that someone has already been thru this and can help. Thank you VERY much!

Go the the following link and download the definitions and do a manual install. This will give you the latest definintions and probably fix the problem as well: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/defs.download.html

loanguys,

If you have completed all the suggested steps in Symantec's KnowledgeBase, I'd suggest uninstalling NAV and reinstalling it.
