Yes I did install the AMD Processor Driver from the Chipset section of the drivers downloads on the Dell site.
I have spoken to a technician at Dell and they are telling me that the problem is because I have clean installed XP Professional (the box shipped with Home installed) and it is an older version than Home. I think they are trying to fob me off though!

Sorry to waste your time but it seems my box was shipped with an ATI card and not an NVIDIA as listed on the invoice!
That expalins it all, correct driver now working fine!
