Onboard Video Buffer Setting

I've been told that a solution to a video editing problem I'm having (dropped frames) is to change the onboard video buffer setting from 1 MB to 8MB.  Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks.

It's a setting that you can change in the BIOS. Enter the System Setup Program (BIOS screen) and open "Integrated Devices (Legacy Select Options)", select "Onboard Video Buffer" and change the size from 1 MB to whatever you desire. Then press the ESC key to exit and choose to save your new settings.

Hello SloMoShun -- I went to the bios and did exactly as you suggested (above) and "Onboard Video Buffer" is not listed?  Larry

Could it be that the Onboard Video Buffer refers only to computers that have an integrated video card?  Larry

Larry...I got that information from the Dell 4600C service manual
http://support.jp.dell.com/docs/systems/dim4600c/sm/syssetup.htm
It appears that option is not available in your BIOS.
