Have you had any luck with this? I can confirm the same problem. I put an E7400 in to replace my E4400 and I get nothing but the fans acting VERY weird in a micro form factor unit. The first attempt they ramped up to full speed, my power light was green; reseated the CPU and then they only ramped to half. Tried resetting BIOS by removing the battery to no avail. Would like to know why this chip isn't working. BIOS v2.6.4

You can only use 1066 Mhz Fsb Core 2 Duo E6000 Series.
