There are only 3 makers of SATA Drive left. Seagate, Toshiba, Western Digital. All the other brands were absorbed mostly by seagate.

Thanks, at the moment there appear to be at least 3 sata drive models I, II & III and I was just wondering if any or all types of drive were ok for the 760?

SATA 1 SPEED 150 Meg
SATA 2 SPEED 300 Meg
SATA 3 SPEED 600 Meg
Only SSD's get close to 600 Meg in reality. Most hard drives are in the SATA 2 range.
