Optiplex 780 boot problem
My dell opiplex 70 sff pc has problems booting. It has a black screen, power button is green and I can hear the fan going too.I'm 98% sure it's not a bios problem but haven't ruled it out.Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

The problem has been resolved by me and if anyone is looking at this because they have the same problem I might have a solution. First look at the front of the pc,at the bottom are green lights and if they display numbers that might be your error code simply search on the Internet about it.For me something was up with my ram,I took all of the sticks out,put them in an order I remember and one by one tested them out. Luckily for me all 8gb were working after I tried this.

Hi Conorhasproblems,
Thanks for writing to us.
When did the problem start? Was there a power surge before this or any hardware changes done recently?
Does the caps or num lock respond ?
Also, please disconnect all the peripherals including the power cable of the tower and the monitor and then hold the power button for 30s sec.
Plug back everything and power on. Observe for any promising changes.
Also please try another monitor or this monitor on another machine.
Do provide us your system tag#, email address and name via private message,by clicking on my name
