Optiplex 990 Boot Sequence Password
We just got in 15 new Optiplex 990's to replace some aging 740's. On the 740's we were able to list several things on the Boot Option Menu, F12, but require the BIOS password in order to boot from CD, USB, NIC, etc. It doesn't look like there is a way to do that on the 990's. It looks like you either have something listed or you don't.
Thanks,

New computers have a dynamic boot list that cannot be added to by the user. The computer lists every bootable device that is currently connected. You can change the order of items which is not usually necessary, but not add or delete items. You now use F12 as soon as you reboot to access the boot menu to boot from cd, external drive etc. Look up Change boot order in Windows 7 Help.

I want to password protect certain items in the boot list.
On Optiplex 740's if something was connect to the machine but not "activated" in the BIOS as being bootable you could still select that option but you'd have to put in your BIOS password.
Is that available on the 990's?
