Optiplex 990 Mini Tower - Options To Upgrade Drive With PCIe SSD ?
Hi ppl
i am considering to replace my 500GB hard drive to SSD.
Dell Optiplex 990MT has 4 PCI slots and they are listed on a customer-brochure as follows:
PCI slot - 1
PCIe x16 slot - 1
PCIe x16 (wired x4) Slot - 1
PCIe x1 Slot - 1
And recently Kingston just released Hyperx Predator PCIe SSD (www.newegg.com/.../Product.aspx) and is it compatible with 990MT to just plug it in?

You'll likely need a 2.5-to-3.5 adapter bracket. (I recommend the Silverstone SDP08.)
Apart from that, it's a straight plug-in, as you say.

Kingston Hyperex Predator is PCIe SSD not SATA SSD. I think don't need brackets.
