Orange/Amber Power Light - Start up Problems

Hey guys,

So I just bought an Inspiron i546s a couple weeks ago. I went out to the movies last night, and when i came home, the power had failed. I tried turning on my computer and all i got was an orange light behind the power button (its supposed to be White). I played with my power strip, and even switched it up with another powerstrip in the the house. then i finally took the exstension cord the powerstrip is plugged into and put it into another outlet. The computer went on, and ran just as it did when i first bought it for the rest of the night. Then i woke up this morning and had the same problem, and amber/orange light behind the power button, and will not completely start up. i opened the brain up to see whats happening internally. theres an orange light on the power board, and im pretty positive that means theres power running to the motherboard. The fans are running perfectly, but there isnt any power being sent to my mouse or my keyboard. These items do work though, i plugged them into my sisters computer, and they work fine. what kind of power issue am i looking at here?

Hi, Kyle:

Here is your troubleshooting guide . Obviously, you're going to need to contact Dell for service.
